VJ Adams who presents for SoundCity TV has announced an album. With only the tracklist as aid, we at Backstory.ng have dug deep into the wells of observation and industry experience to tell you of three things to expect from VJ Adams' album titled "Perception" which will be released on the 25th of June, 2018.

1. Most of the features expose the themes and sound of each songZoro, popular Igbo rapper and Headies Next Rated nominee is known in these quarters for his humoring songs, his playfulness with delivery and ability to craft a hit, tapping into the Ogene sound of his native Igbo whilst Ola Dips is witty, spitter of lyrics that blur the lines between lewd and street, he is the perfect complement for a hit song, and as you could possibly guess, Dr Smith is the J Town rapper that completes the Wazobia trident on the opener  We're Wan Lee. On the second track, Mr Eazi is the specialist called up for Bless My Way, no doubt the usual Baba-God-Na-Your-Hand-I-Dey track in every contemporary Nigerian pop album. Define Rap features four rappers and a hookmaster and will be one for the lovers of punchline rap, with each MC eager to impress, wanting to show  superiority on the mic.
2. It is a mid range conceptual album: Whilst the term and its practice might be foreign to Nigeria (should write on this soon), concept albums usually go deeper than a first layer. For example, in Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly album, the Compton rapper through spoken word weaves a representation of the devil (Lucy) at the beginning and sometimes end of all the tracks.

Dividing the album into two parts of half a dozen songs each, VJ Adams makes a bold decision to serve differing tastes in hope for a collective appreciation of the art he's collected from the industry's finest voices, hands and minds.

3. There's something for the alternative fan: If you love music out of the norms, out of the hard hitting, fast paced sounds influenced by today's market, Perception has a serving (or more than one) for you. When a Man Cries features Praiz, a heavyweight in the game, one whose artistry never fails to push the boundaries of music and for more gloss, it is produced by Sigag Lauren, someone who's managed to stay unattached to the showbiz of the showbiz, just making ear candies out of your favorite alternative songs, which include EDM (Electronic Dance Music) remixes for Romeo and Juliet, Wait for Me, My Beautiful Love, all by Johnny Drille's Smile For Me, the Headies winning song by songbird Simi, Only You by the Gentleman, Ric Hassani, and many others.

All these and more, makes VJ Adams' Perception hot on our list of the more anticipated releases of 2018.
