Curated for your listening pleasure, these are ten new songs we feel will be a worthy accompaniment throughout the week.

 1. SOSSICK ft Ice Prince, Dice Ailes, CDQ & O Shine – Working
The veteran producer Sossick presents this classic Hip Hop cut, with a bouncy beat. Dope verses delivered from every rapper, this could be one of those rap songs that gets massive replay due to its sing - along quality.

2. D'BANJ – What You Want (Letter to my Wife)
First of all, condolences to D'banj and family. After the loss of his child, many celebrities and fans have come out in show of solidarity to Banga Lee but the woman behind the scene is easily forgotten.

On What You Want, D'banj appeases his wife and promises that everything will be okay. Over a typical D'banj type beat, this is one of the better songs of the week; a showman and performer realizing the values of family.

 3. CIARA ft Tekno – Freak Me
Much buzz trailed this song. First it was the poverty of creativity that went into Tekno's verse in what is his biggest international audition yet.

Secondly, was the claim that Ciara "stole" the beat from Tiwa Savage's 2015 song Before Nko. However, that has been clarified and a major investor into the Afrobeat is what you need to buy into this week.

4. BOJ – Bill Up
The former DRB member makes wavy summer music. Fresh off releasing and engaging in promotions from for his duet project with Ajebutter22, BOJ releases Bill Up, a catchy mid tempo breeze of a song.

5. JINMI ABDULS – Folarin (ft. Mum)
The opener to the Jinmi of Lagos 2 EP is a subtle reaffirmation of a young man's dreams as he vows to become "the greatest in the world" over a solo guitar. In a album of many magic moments, Folarin is arguably the most enchanting and endearing.

 6. LAARY GAAGA ft Burna Boy, 2Baba & D'Banj – Baba Nla
Easily one of the best collaboration out there, each artiste owned his verse and listening to D'banj once again on the harmonica was a blessing to the ears.

 7. AYO JAY – Let Him Go
The Boy Wonder is back after a too-long hiatus. On Let Him Go, his signature vocals float over a bouncy beat, preaching about self worth and availability to a girl whose man is better left to go away. The production bears semblance to the electricity of EDM and it is a deviation from the Afro rush at the music market.

8. KOKER ft Falz – Daddy
Off his coming La Vida Koker EP, Daddy is a drum infected jam whose fast paced beat floats like a South African Kwaito song. Featuring a refreshing delivery from Falz, this songs point to the musical path Koker aims to thread after leaving Chocolate City to become his own man.

9.  ABIMBOLA ft Erigga – Two Head
Motivational in its scope, the little known act features Erigga, who has a song titled “Dem No Get Two Head.”

Together, they approach the topic from different angles, Abimbola the newbie begging God for money and Erigga dropping nuggets of wisdom.

Listen

10. JINMI ABDULS ft Teni – Once Twice
“I've never cheated before in my life, well maybe once twice,” sings the magical Jinmi. Teni the Entertainer brings her immense vocals to the joint and the disco feel of the song makes it one of the great moments on the JOLAG 2 EP.
